Marianna Raikkala (b.1993) is a contemporary artist living and working in Helsinki, Finland. Marianna's passion for art and creativity has grown as a strong part of her identity ever since she was little. Throughout her life, she has always been expressing her thoughts through drawing and painting. Her greatest source of inspiration is in the contrast between light and dark which she often exploits in her pieces. Marianna also finds inspiration in nature and different kind of materials and textures.

For Marianna herself the greatest detail in her art is to leave something for the viewers to think about. “My art is an invite for everyone to dive into their own imagination. When people can find something of their own in one of my paintings - that's when I truly feel I've succeeded. For me personally, each of my painting is a reminder of the time it was created.“
